Viola Davis’ jaw dropped when she read Michael B. Jordan’s name as a Leading Role winner at the Actor Awards 2026. She went on to chant and cheer for the ‘Sinners’ star before he gave a tearful speech. “You are shining!” she shouted with a shocked expression. “Michael B. Jordan!” Davis then began chanting from the stage as a visibly emotional Jordan made his way to the podium to accept the prize for his work in ‘Sinners’. “I wasn’t expecting this at all,” Jordan said. “I just want to quickly say that I’m so honored and privileged to be nominated in categories with people and actors and humans that I love, and I love their work and what you contribute to our craft, and this ride has been unbelievable.” This marks MBJ’s third Actor Award win, having won the Actor Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture previously for ‘Black Panther’ in 2019.
