‘Good Morning America’ weekend anchor Janai Norman said her stint has been “cut short,” confirming that she has exited the show after nearly four years. “I have loved my job,” she began in an April 3 video on Instagram. “It has been a joy to connect with my co-workers and with viewers to help keep you informed, entertained and to create this community. So, it really breaks my heart that I don’t get to say goodbye. Janai continued, “I’m so sorry that I don’t get to say goodbye. Good for her if it's to spend more time with family, I'm guessing her husband is off on the weekend and would like to spend more family time.
One of the news anchors wife is her replacement. Mark that comes on 5pm ob ABC NY with sade…. I wonder if they fired 🤔 her or housed her because of the new anchor wife.
Why didn't they renew her contract? She was so great at her job and she and the team were the only reason that I watched. May she continue to be blessed and know that she will be missed. I hope that we find out the reason that she's gone. I may have to tune them out.

There is more to this story. I used to watch Janai , when she was doing late late news, and she worked her way up to Good morning American on the weekends. The good ones are all gone now, and I don't watch plan on watching the show anymore. So sorry, she was let go ! 😢❤

I will be letting GNA know what a mistake they made too! I dislike the fact that she won't say how or why she is leaving. Did ABC fire her or is this decision her own (?). Not likely because she whines about how she loved her job. Just be honest.

I'm my opinion, she tried to become a comedian while during the News broadcast. I remember one incident when a co-worker was standing, I believe broadcasting the Weather. Janai Norman made an embarrassing remark about her jumpsuit that she was wearing. The guy that was sitting next to Jania was embarrassed, he just looked down. Although, the lady was overweight, but the jumpsuit looked very nice on her. It was an insult whether it was taken as an insult or not. Janai Norman always tried to make people laugh at the expense of hurting others. What if someone asked her on National Television while she was broadcasting News, "Where are the father(s) of your three children." Janai Norman has no respect for people feelings, especially people of color. She made a squatting remark on air about Simone Biles, trying to be funny. George Stephanopoulos couldn't hardly stop laughing. I certainly won't miss Janai Norman.

I have loved watching Janai evolve as a person,mother and reporter /co-host. The beautiful smile, charming wit and enthusiasm was so pleasant. She will sorely be missed on Saturday mornings. Sad to see her go.
