Earlier this month, it was reported that Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice wouldn’t be allowed into the Royal Ascot, a posh, royal-loved event filled with horse racing and summer activities. But soon after, it seems that King Charles III and Queen Camilla actually did personally invite Beatrice and Eugenie, leaving one royal family member upset.

Insiders told Heat World UK that the Prince and Princess of Wales are “fuming” over his change of heart.

“William is fuming. He thinks Charles has made him look terrible by changing his mind on this. In his view, it’s crucial to the future of the monarchy that they are seen to be taking a very hard stance on the Yorks, and letting Beatrice and Eugenie continue to be associated with them publicly sends the wrong message,” the insider said.

“Kate is backing William,” they added. “She absolutely agrees that a clear line needs to be drawn, and that continuing to have Beatrice and Eugenie show up at key royal events muddies that message. As far as she’s concerned, it’s not about being unkind – it’s about protecting the institution and making sure the public sees consistency in how things are handled.”

Now this comes as a bit of a shock since Kate was the one who invited the York Princesses to the Christmas ceremony on Dec 2025. “Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie received personal invitations for this year’s ‘Together at Christmas’ from Princess Catherine’s office,” royal commentator and broadcaster Neil Sean claimed to Fox News Digital on Monday, November 24.

But after Andrew’s arrest and the titles being lost, it seems the Wales are sticking to their convictions.
