With Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s reportedly less than three months away, it seems her ex-BFF Blake Lively is still hopeful for an invite (even though it’s super-unlikely)!
Sources told Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack that Lively is convinced she’ll be invited to Swift and Kelce’s wedding, despite insiders telling DailyMail earlier this month that “Lively is unlikely to receive an invite” and that they’re “still not as close as they once were.”

“Blake is totally optimistic. She’s acting like the invite is already in the mail,” one insider said to Shuter. “She keeps going back to the beginning. She was around when Taylor and Travis first got together — she feels like part of their story.”
However, insiders everywhere have claimed that’s probably not the case, including with Shuter.
“Taylor is being incredibly careful about her guest list. She truly believes she’ll be there. She’s not even considering the alternative,” another insider said. “She’s hopeful. But she may be the only one who thinks this invite is coming.”

It all started with the It Ends With Us legal drama. There were rumors of a rift between Lively and her co-star Baldoni from the start. However, it all hit the fan when Lively sued Baldoni for sexual harassment and a retaliatory smear campaign in a civil suit back in Dec 2024, which The New York Times wrote about.
Days later, Baldoni filed a libel suit against The New York Times, and the following month, he filed a civil suit against Lively and her husband for defamation. Then, after Swift was drawn into the drama, rumors of a rift between her and Lively emerged, and it was seemingly confirmed when Lively didn’t congratulate Swift on her engagement to Kelce.
Since then, they’ve seemingly remained out of each other’s lives, despite Swift being the godmother to her children.
