Martin Lawrence chats with ET’s Kevin Frazier at the ‘Michael’ premiere in Los Angeles. Martin gushes about the birth of his first granddaughter, whom he shares with fellow comedy icon Eddie Murphy, the result of their kids — Martin’s daughter, Jasmin, and Eddie’s son, Eric — getting married. Martin also reflects on his time meeting Michael Jackson ahead of the long-awaited biopic hitting theaters on April 24.

Mr Lawrence has been soo much to us during our time of decade of the Martin Show House party, Bad Boys and much other. I am a 56 year old heterosexual Black man. I literally have tears rolling down my face because I remember and recall all that Martin has given us. Hosting the Comedy show…. especially during a time in my life or our lives when life wasn't funny. I love and respect our brother and from Nashville rn, I always wanted to meet and shake our brother's hand and look at him and say…..thank you Sir😢.
