To soften and expand the shape, I brushed through again, creating airy volume without disrupting the wave.”

“I wanted Zoë’s look to feel fresh and quietly romantic,” explains celebrity makeup artist Alex Babsky, who used all L’Oréal products on the star, from skin prep to makeup. “The cheeks have a natural flush that brings warmth back into the face, and the lip is Colour Riche Satin Lipstick in 762 Divine Wine that stays tonal with the skin. I layered lightly so it adds color without taking over, and everything still feels effortless.”

Celebrity makeup artist Mary Phillips also relied on L’Oréal products to create Kendall Jenner’s full look—no surprise, given the model has been a global ambassador for the brand since 2023. She layered a few coats of this $13 mascara to achieve a bold, feathery finish.

If you’re looking to create that snatched, contoured effect, follow Phillips’s lead and apply L’Oréal’s Lumi Glow Bronzer “on the perimeters of the face and down the jawline,” she says of her work on Jenner. She paired it with L’Oréal Paris’s Lumi Le Glass, dabbing it onto “the high points of [Jenner’s] face and down the bridge of her nose for that gorgeous glow-from-within look.”

To create a smooth base and eliminate dry patches, celebrity makeup artist Alexandra French prepped Katy Perry’s skin with Loops’ exfoliating toner pads. Formulated with PHAs, bakuchiol, and centella asiatica, they gently exfoliate while helping to firm, brighten, and soothe.

Kylie Jenner walked the red carpet in a deconstructed Schiaparelli gown paired with “polished but unraveling” waves, says celebrity hairstylist Iggy Rosales. After prepping with Kenra’s Platinum Blow-Dry Spray and Perfect Medium Spray to set the curls, Rosales finished with the brand’s dry texture spray for an airy, lived-in effect.

While Madonna leaned into the theatrical with her gothic, shipwreck-inspired ensemble, celebrity makeup artist and Kiko Milano Global Makeup Artistry Creative Director Marcelo Gutierrez opted for a warm, subtle smoky eye as the foundation of her look. He used a total of eight Kiko Milano high-impact shadows to build it out, including this muted mauve-lilac shade layered with cooler tones and a highlighting hue at the inner corners and brow bone.

While creating Ciara’s gravity-defying, crown-like updo, hairstylist Cesar Ramirez used Rizos’ Strong Hold Gel to shape each section and the brand’s hair wax stick to tame flyaways. Formulated for all hair types—from straight to curly and coily—the castor oil–infused formula is ideal for creating long-lasting, slicked-back styles with plenty of shine.

To achieve Emily Blunt’s glittery nail look, her manicurist Julie Kandalec “created a deep, dark base using Gel by Essie Spiked With Style, then added a single circle of Set In Stones on each nail, drawing inspiration from Russian painter Wassily Kandinsky. He believed the circle to be the most peaceful shape—symbolizing cosmic harmony—making it a subtle yet striking nod to wearable art for this year’s theme.” Take a page from Kandelic’s playbook and use the glittery polish to create nail art, or swipe on some sparkle for a playful twist.

Emma Chamberlain’s colorful art deco manicure, expertly matched to her gown, was one of our favorite looks of the night. Celebrity manicurist Tom Bachik used six high-pigment Aprés Nail Gel Couleurs to create it, including this deep blue shade that “dripped” from the tips of her extensions.

Celebrity stylist Cherilyn Farris drew inspiration from “how women’s hair is depicted in paintings in the Met” to create Maude Apatow’s glamorous updo, starting with Tresemmé’s All-In-One Style Primer to protect and enhance the hair’s natural texture. “I wanted a soft structure to complement the design of the dress and loved the idea of a cropped bang framing the face.”
