At the start of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, cultural platform Gold House hosted its fifth annual Gold Gala on May 9. Held at the historic Music Center in downtown Los Angeles, the impactful celebration has evolved into one of the buzziest gatherings spotlighting Asian Pacific talent and influence around the world. I mean, what other event could bring Mindy Kaling, Suni Lee, and Youn Yuh-junginto the same room? Operating with the heart of a nonprofit and the reach of a global enterprise, Gold House has become known for bringing leaders together across culture, entertainment, and entrepreneurship.
On Saturday, more than 650 guests gathered to celebrate the 2026 Gold100 List, honoring the most impactful Asian Pacific culture makers. The evening’s theme, “A New Gold World,” served as a call to foster shared abundance during a moment increasingly shaped by uncertainty and contraction. So naturally, earning a place among the night’s best dressed carried its own level of prestige.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Jet Li, Charles Melton, Simu Liu, Ejae, and Eileen Gu were among the 100 honorees spanning various categories—New Gold leaders, Fashion & Lifestyle, Business & Technology, Entertainment & Media, Social Impact, and Sports & Gaming. Bowen Yang, Chrissy Teigen, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, H.E.R., and Hayley Kiyoko were some of the talent who took the stage. Anna Cathcart, Chloe Kim, Daniel Dae Kim, Manny Jacinto, Ming-Na Wen, Supriya Ganesh, and more stylish celebrities were spotted in attendance.
After walking the red carpet, guests were treated to a fine dining experience (think James Beard Award-winning culinary talent), presented in partnership by OpenTable, alongside signature cocktails courtesy of Hennessy ahead of the evening’s reception. Mixologist Kevin Nguyen of L.A.’s Camélia restaurant infused his Vietnamese heritage into the bespoke beverages, which featured chrysanthemum, papaya salad, and X.O. flavors, respectively.

“All the cocktails were created and named with the idea of focusing on AAPI flavors and concepts,” Nguyen tells InStyle. “I wanted to make sure there were different archetypes and styles of drinks to show the diverse range of flavors AAPI cuisine and culture had to offer, while also showcasing the versatility of Hennessy Cognac across the menu.” He added, “Being able to bring my heritage into a glass alongside a brand that takes this community seriously felt like the right kind of full circle moment.”
