I’m seated. The theater employees are scared and asking me to leave because it’s ‘not (whenever this releases) yet,’ but I’m simply too seated.

    2. This premise forced me to contemplate a marriage between Jake Paul and Erika Kirk, which was horrifying all on its own

Remember the last time Ari Aster made a fucked up, un-subtle comedy vaguely about modern politics and everyone deemed it too out there and unrealistic to enjoy?

At first glance I thought this graphic was for an ABC News special or something I would scroll past on Hulu

    5. idk if i love this new direction of making high art south park episodes that ari aster is going in but at the very least this premise sounds kinda funny

    6. I was sat for Eddington on release day and loved it

I feel like Killing of a Sacred Deer (Lanthimos) had such a similar premise to this… but knowing Ari he’ll pull it off. Praying he’s able to bring back some horror w this one too 🤞

    7. wtf is Nexus Point News? I’ll believe it when I see a more reputable source reporting it

    8. I’m a fan of Ari’s, but after Eddington I really hoped his next flick would move away from the current dumpster fire that is America. Feels like an utter waste of his talent imo. I’ll catch this on streaming.

This is going to be fucking madness in all the best ways. I was there for Eddington, I will be there for this.

He probably wanted to base it on a Charlie Kirk character and the studio said no

I don’t know if anyone else has a similar issue, but while I LOVE Midsommar I couldn’t even finish watching Hereditary. It was just too high of a pain-to-payoff ratio for me. So while I love ScarJo and am intrigued, I’m not sure I can put myself through another Aster film.

I like Ari Aster, but I think I prefer him in horror rather than thrillers/dramas.

Don’t get me wrong, all of his films have had horror elements – I just think his best work is specifically in that genre.

I wanna be proven wrong, though. He’s still an incredible filmmaker

I’m not fan of Jake Paul, but think how weird it would be to find out someone was making a movie inspired by your accidental death during surgery.

Oh great, now the assholes mentioned as “inspiration” are gonna use this article for publicity for several months.
