Jennifer Garner Learns the Secret to Perfect Fried Chicken from Melissa Clark | NYT Cooking

As fans of her “Pretend Cooking Show” know, Jennifer Garner is no stranger to the kitchen. We invited her to make Nashville-style hot fried chicken, a recipe adapted from the chef Rodney Frazer of Peaches HotHouse in Brooklyn, with Melissa Clark. As they dipped and fried, Garner talked about acting, her love of food and that time she bravely made an Ina Garten chicken recipe over Zoom — with Ina herself.

Can someone please tell me how Jennifer Gardner still looks like her character from alias? Can we all say that she’s the female Paul Rudd love you, Jennifer. Also, really cool that she’s taking up cooking which is my biggest hobby. Knew I liked that lady.
SHE'S NOT PRETENDING TODAY!!!!!!!! LOVE THESE TWO!
I lost it when she said Peaches from Brooklyn, I've been to that restaurant so many times and the food is spectacular. Never thought to ask for the recipe!
10:46 OKLAHOMA MENTIONED 🗣🗣🗣
She’s so tall in comparison
We need more Jennifer on NYT cooking!
Fell in love with her and Bradley Cooper from Alias!
The chicken in the picture is burnt.
Omg this was such a delight. Both of them are. To know that Jen has been watching Melissa and enjoying her content and then to see her cook with her with a smile on her face is such a beautiful moment to witness and the chicken looks so good. Looking forward to seeing Melissa showing up on Jen's show and making the little men bread and fried chicken hehe
Ew
Garner feels it necessary to act like an incredulous child, it’s like a pantomime act.
Good Psychology . . .
Pickles and olives are a must !!
That was so fun to watch!
This was the best pairing
The fried chicken tips are great, but honestly it's these two together that had me smiling the whole way through 😊🍗
I love Jen so much,
Jennifer is the coolest. As authentic as it gets. Ben dropped the ball on that big time, unfortunately.
That looks like an insane amount of cayenne
Jennifer is absolutely one of the most photogenic
she is so fucking charming
the host is so cute and pretty
LOVE!
She's still so attractive.
Got 5 pounds of chickie drums in the freezer and this is their destiny. 😋Also, I see my cabbage and corn and tomatoes and daikon as supporting characters…clearing out and using up all my kitchen bounty. Fixin a feast for days! 🌞Thanks NYT's Cooking and Jen and Melissa for this delightful inspiration/motivation.
Sorry NYT Cooking but the video suffers from too much banter. It is unclear whether your guest truly learned something. Please more emphasis on the cooking and less on stargazing. Melissa Clark's cooking and baking are always very instructive. Thank you
fried chicken and Jennifer Garner, yes please
What a delightful pair!!! Jennifer is so lovely!!
Fun video. I had just read the nyt recipe. I was disapointed the ghost pepper powder was left out, but it was still fun.
jenn's the best! finally a real cooking show you can segway to.. haa! you both are aweesome! and, that chicken looks and sounds amazing!
You both inspire the woof out of my cooking!
I so badly want to make fried chicken at home but the sheer amount of oil needed!? Anyone lend any insight?
Love it
Too bad that the "free" recipe isn't available for printing. I would have given this a thumbs down because of this omission, but YT has taken that option away! Yet another form of censorship.
Yay!! Love Jen!! That chicken looks fab! Can't wait to see her new movie!
Perfect fried chicken Buy at the deli
It’s a real cooking show today! 😊
If they cut out all the cutesy blah blah blah, they could get to the point and the video could 5 minutes.
