proving the show must go on even hours later than scheduled. Lauren Hill, tell him, “Listen, listen.” Lauren didn’t hit the stage at Essencefest until 2:30 a.m. Saturday. By then, the 83,000 seat Superdome was virtually empty. Only a few hundred diehard fans stuck around until the nearly 400 a.m. finale. Lauren, how you feeling tonight? Listen. So, what happened? Well, the former Fuji was added to an apparently already overpacked lineup only two days beforehand, and the seven acts before Lauren all reportedly started late. Some fans said, “By an hour.” Essence Fest posting quote, “She arrived on schedule. The delay not hers. We will take that. Let me rap to you.
Lauryn Hill performed to a near-empty Essence Festival stadium after her performance was pushed back to 2:30 a.m.. Reps for the festival say late performances ahead of Hill’s caused the delay.

Oh boy
Essence Fest is now Tether Fest that's why it's failing it's lost its Black American cultural appeal.
I person who is habitually late lacks consideration for others.
I’m so very proud of her
😂 trash 🗑
She's the finishing act. Sadly everyone came out for her and didn't get that experience. Essence fest is wrong and totally unprofessional. Yall paid for them to perform and all yall got is this
Seen her perform twice nearly 3hours late. Iykyk -you are not leaving until she comes on loll 😅
Tahts called ept time don't know what that means? Learn it!
I haven't heard from her since the mid to late 90s
I love Lauren Hill.
Love her. I would have waited to see her
CPT
Bye Lauren…
❤❤I seen her when I was 15 year's old when she first come out great show that night 🎉🎉 love her always I will never forget that day or night she is a beautiful soul ❤ her music will always be 🔥 her voice I would love to see her again 🎉🎉
She did her tin, disspite ,, ❤❤❤
Media & haters always try to ruin her reputation by frying her shortcomings in the past which is being late but she has improved her team management because it is not easy for a big artist like her, a mother and a producer like her. She has performed tens of thousands of stages in the continents of Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia, America and the stage was not empty even too full. This is clearly a mistake of the event which in my opinion is very poor in planning & execution.
This is one of the best Lauryn Hill performances throughout her career so intimate and she really gave herself 💯% showing she is a true talent unique unbeatable just like 25 years ago she managed to sweep all the music awards beating many big names at that time, hail to the queen 👑
I love he no matter what!!! I would be the one who is the last person in the stadium.
The ONLY PERSON I'LL WAIT ON IS MJ
She usually late.Alot of today's youth sadly don't know her and her wonderful music.
The disrespect……. 230am in new orlwans ia like 10am. Anywhere else people up partying the easence fest dropped the ball big time. And i bet she still gave a amazing show. Let it had been autotuned artist it would've been on point n packed. Natural talent hit different
❤️❤️❤️
Shes a racist.
Let's do better, guys.
COME TO COLUMBUS OHIO IT WOULD BE PACKED TIL 8AM❤❤
