Its interesting that the only cities having major protests and "killings" are those that openly oppose the federal government enforcing federal law. We live in a democracy – like it or not – and we vote for or against policies. Trump won because of his stance on borders. He is now enforcing federal laws – that are not new – that Biden was not. That sancturay cities are not. Under Obama state and local government leaders complied and assisted. This keeps the enforcment out of public streets and keeps the public and illegals and agents safe. But rather than hold these leaders responsible we immediately attach ICE. This is likely due to an ignorance about how the process is meant to work. And if ANYONE should be protested it is congress. They have had decades to revise immigration law. Again, this is a democratic republic. Bills are presented in Congress and pass through our system to become law. I have heard presidents going back to Obama suggesting these laws need revising. So where is congress in all this? We should be protesting THEM to DO THEIR JOB rather than teaching our children to rise up against the federal government and federal laws – just because we do not like them. Protesting federal agents will not change anything. As a historic example many southern state governments refused to follow federal civil rights law. So, they sent in military to enforce the law. I'm sure it is much less dangerous to the overall population to follow the law… and if you disagree… use DEMOCRATIC PROCESS to change it. Otherwise we are just playing with ideas of anarchy and insurrection. And I think we ALL agree that these are not good ideas.
