This movie TORE ME UP.
They played Wind Beneath My Wings at my grandmother’s funeral, and since then, I cannot watch the movie without instantly bawling my eyes out.
I wasn’t even close to my grandma, and she passed when I was 7 (I’m 29 now), but seeing my mother completely devastated at the funeral broke me as a child.
I wanted to be CeCe Bloom when I was a kid. I used to watch this movie over and over again when I would go to sleepovers at my BFF’s house. She’s still my BFF, 40 years later. Neither of us have died yet but I had cancer at 28 and her husband died in a crash when she was 38, so we’ve seen each other through some real shit.

I have a Barbara Hershey signed Black Swan soundtrack. She is an icon.
