Idk, these days I don’t really view the whole “sexy 24/7” thing as revolutionary. Just feels like it’s all for men. I want to know more about Sabrina beyond the men in her life and beyond her being horny and short lol. I feel like that’s all people are chalking her up to be, and it’s very unfortunate. I think embracing sexuality is an amazing thing, but when it’s all you’re portrayed as it can venture into the “demeaning” territory.

Also, I’m bored of the romanticizing cigarettes and “vintage” aesthetics. Please don’t crucify me, I like her lol I just don’t like the way the entertainment industry constantly oversexualizes women.

  2. I’m not into it, it’s very “edgy” from a bunch of people who have no idea what they’re doing. But it feels like she wants to do something actually interesting (not this) and therefore makes me personally want to see her collab with Petra Collins.

As a non smoker I find the anti smoking sentiment on reddit very amusing because I’ve always been one of the few non smokers in most social situations over the last decade. And if anything I feel like it’s just getting more common now than when I was a teen

It’s very much giving the Florida Project film to me for some reason

  5. These are like 50/50 gorgeous and “why did you include this?” I mean it’s hard to make Sabrina look bad, she doesn’t, but some of these photos seem… to lack direction.

Like 3 has a cute pose but the background composition is almost distractingly pointless. Pic 4 is great followed by 5 which has a good idea but struggles with focal point. 10,11,12; fabulous, followed by 13: why did you turn her into a weird little troll????

The hits in this photoshoot are amazing but I find myself astounded at how many completely uninteresting or downright strange photos get published. Surely they had better photos from that day

edgy cigarette glam feels really inauthentic from her. I also *hate* her expression in shot 3. I hope this is not her new aesthetic/vibe bc it’s just weird women’s misery porn and I hate it lol.

the path of a pop girlie is never easy, I suppose.

Number 7 and 8 look like MySpace pics I would’ve put up as a scene kid in high school.

    Edit: number 11 too

  8. I hate the cigarette. Quitting was one of the most difficult things I’ve done.

Her with short hair is making me realize how much her and Joey King look alike

I really hate 3. Sexily dressed young woman crying on her knees in a hotel room, looking at someone off camera while we see a man in the mirror holding a camera…is it supposed to invoke human trafficking iconography? 😭 HATE it. A lot of these have that “feel” but 3 is pretty on the nose.

The very last one has an icky feeling too. Reminds me of the pictures guys used to post of my 13 year old cousin when things weren’t so good in her life 🙁

Does anyone ever see these photoshoots and think about how they have to sit on a dirty motel 8 carpet to achieve this? I know the money is probably worth it but still I would be like… no thank you

  12. Seeing Sabrina Carpenter portraying different characters is nice. Seeing them all come down to just basically being“chicks in various states of barely dressed” is fucking annoying.

  13. This feels like me and my high school friends doing and edgy photo shoot for tumbler

These types of photo shoots feel very unoriginal and over done. Let’s get some fresh ideas besides a seedy motel, looking distressed and grungy with a cigarette dangling from their mouths.

  15. I think if ur one of the worlds biggest pop stars and your photo shoots could be ANYTHING in your imagination and they’re….this? You’ve lost the plot, cosplaying, pretending, copycatting, boring, searching for relevance

It feels like Nadia Lee Cohen should have been their photog pick. I see where they’re trying to go and I just think Nadia could have brought more direction and interest to the shoot.

Love her. But I wish she’d knock it off with the smoking photos and stuff.

That shit wasn’t cool in the 80s or 90s or 2000s and it finally started to go away.

    Let’s not bring it back.

The only cohesive things about these photos are bad wigs and that they look like proof of life photos from a lifetime movie about a kidnapping. Are those a hideous pair of shorts or a belt? Why do none of the shoes appear to fit?

  19. More cigarette campaigning. I’m telling you, there’s clearly some tobacco money being exchanged. Lots of photographers using cigarettes as props in just the past few months alone. Not to mention more celebs are being photographed smoking.

  20. This photo shoot feels kinda tone deaf in the modern climate – it’s giving prostitute in a motel/druggie/poverty cosplay. Idk it’s just a kinda tired way imagining women. It’s like heroin chic’s bastard child.
