Actor, singer, athlete, etc. Have you ever been watching a movie or live performance and been like "wow, they really got it" and there was a particular moment or sequence of moments that made your jaw drop with awe? What was that moment that for you?
Viola Davis’ monologue in Fences is incredible. Just pure raw emotion that proves she’s one of the best actors alive. I love when I’m watching a movie or show and an actor makes me stop for a moment and just take it all in. Same with music and live performances. Beyoncé at Coachella comes to mind.

The snot coming out of her nose changed lives for real

Edit- Toni Collette. Hereditary
Mia Goth’s monologue in *Pearl*. I was not expecting that when I fired that movie up.
Denzel in training day. He improvised all the famous dialogues that we use in pop culture today.
Kinda niche but Victoria Pedretti’s character in Haunting of Hill House.

Edit. Requiem for a dream. Ellen Burstyn
When Lady Gaga sang sound of music at the Oscars and everyone realized she could actually sing for real
Left field one
Anthony Bourdain, No Reservations 2×13 “Beirut” aka “The war episode”
It takes No Reservations, and Bourdain, from average “_just a cook’s tour documentary_” to some of the most insightful, moving, impactful pieces of story-telling

Pink being able to nail her vocals while doing all this crazy ass shit. I could never sing like that, and I could never do aerial acrobatics like that. Imagine being so good at simultaneously doing both.
See also: that video of her singing flawlessly while someone stands on her chest? I think I’m remembering that right.

The zaniest, most bizarre, most lovable sociopath of all time. I became a lifelong Nicholas Hoult stan and now have seen nearly everything he’s done. Those eyebrows …

the Thanksgiving scene from The Bear. everyone acted their asses off!!!

I’m gonna go with Florence Pugh’s barn scene with Pelle in Midsommar
The whole movie has a lot of very intense bits of performance and raw emotion from her, but I love the way she immediately portrays panic mode and fighting back tears when he mentions her parents

While Eminem is obviously one of the GOATS of hip hop, the fact he acted so well in 8 mile was a surprise to everyone.
I remember a bunch of speculation at the time that he’d be a horrible actor. Dropped a great movie and won an Oscar. A mic drop moment.

Tom Holland’s umbrella dance.

Probably T-Pain on The Masked Singer. I know that’s random , but people only knew him as the auto tune guy and weren’t aware that he has a stunning voice. I think that’s the case for a lot of singers and to have to prove that they can perform live with little to no enhancement.

Angela Basset as Tina Turner in What’s Love Got To Do With It?
My favorite scene is when she sings A Fool in Love. It’s a masterclass. She’s extraordinary.
Elton John performing at Princess Diana’s funeral. They were great friends and he recently loss his other good friend Versace. I have zero idea how he mentally and emotionally got through that song. It was just so steely. He is a total pro.

[Orphan Black Clone Dance Party](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsTc_o5ixU8)
Tatiana Maslaney performs as just four of the something like 17 clones she played in Orphan Black. This clip gets across how distinctive she made each one, without dialogue and using only body language and movement. Her performances displayed an incredible versatility in embodying characters, and accomplishment as a technician; in many scenes she was the only actor, performing against herself.
Tramell Tillman from Severance. There is no one moment because he stands out in every scene he’s in. The charisma just oozes from him.

She was such an icon and so talented in so many roles, but I feel like this role and this episode in particular really introduced her brilliance to a whole new generation of fans.
