Meghan Markle Claims She Was The ‘Most Trolled Person in the Entire World’ In Candid Remarks

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are getting candid during their four-day visit to Australia. On April 16, the third day of their trip, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex met with the youth mental health organization Batyr at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne. While speaking with a group there, the couple discussed the impact of social media and online bullying, with Harry praising the Australian government for implementing a ban on social media for children under the age of 16. “So many countries have now followed suit, but it should have never got to a ban,” he said in part, adding, “Because the companies themselves have got to be accountable and there’s no way that young people should be punished by being banned from something that should be safe to use no matter what.” During the conversation, the “As Ever” founder chimed in on how she was constantly the subject of tabloids and headlines. “For now, 10 years, every day for 10 years, I have been bullied and attacked and I was the most trolled person in the entire world – man or woman. But I’m still here. And so when I think of all of you and what you’re experiencing, I think so much of that is having to realize that, you know, that industry, that billion-dollar industry that is completely anchored and predicated on cruelty to get clicks, that’s not going to change. So you have to be stronger than that.” Plus, the son of King Charles opened up about how the death of his mother, Princess Diana, made him question his royal role during a keynote speech at the InterEdge Summit in Melbourne.
