The only thing I can say about this debacle nowadays is:
I’m sure the child must be absolutely *thrilled* to know she had to miss out on seeing her favorite artist because her mom and stepdad decided to set up a circus tent, put on clown makeup and start a smear campaign for literally no reason.

Fully impartial 39yo here (meaning while I did just discover like 3-4 of her songs and think they’re great, I’m LONG out of the popstar game): I’ve seen all the hubbub around what she’s said, and I think people are kind of nuts???
For being mad at setting boundaries? – I’ve read the statements! They are not ‘excessive’ or ‘too much’; she doesn’t want to be fucking mobbed or touched by strangers or stalked! What the hell is wrong with THAT?
“Well she’s famous; she should expect it” YOU ARE NOT WELL, FRIENDS. LEAVE PEOPLE – FAMOUS OR NOT – ALONE.
I’ve got GAD and I’d be dead in the water if some of the people I’ve talked to thought other people would be interested in the brainworm-salad that came out of my mouth when they surprised me and expected some chitchat. I can relate! I’ve recently set my own boundaries and it’s nice, tbh!
Most importantly, if I were a queer artist who’s recently embraced it, I would be VERY LEERY of lots of strangers around me.
And finally, I got yelled at when I was a kid when I’d accidentally intrude in a space I wasn’t allowed to be in – local baseball game reporters on air when I wasn’t watching where I was going and decided to walk between the camera and the reporter, more famously lol – I promise you, the reporter wasn’t mad but I shouldn’t have been there! It was mortifying but what the fuck, dude? Can’t imagine my parents making a bigger deal out of it.
