May has begun on a mixed note for the box office, with both recent releases Jet Lee and Gayapadda Simham managing only an average response from audiences. The momentum that many expected at the start of the summer season hasn’t quite picked up yet, leaving theatres still searching for a solid hit to draw crowds in large numbers.

In this scenario, Samantha Ruth Prabhu finds herself in a crucial position. With just two weeks left for her upcoming film Maa Inti Bangaram, the responsibility to generate strong buzz is significant. Expectations are decent, especially considering her past track record and popularity across markets.

However, somewhat surprisingly, Samantha appears to have slowed down her promotional pace, something that was already noted in the previous week. At a time when aggressive promotions could make a major difference, this lull might affect the film’s initial reach unless quickly addressed.

The situation becomes even more competitive with next Friday bringing multiple releases like Godari Gattupaina, Razor, and Sathi Leelavathi. While these films are also trying to build attention, none have yet created strong pre-release excitement.

With theatres craving footfall and audiences waiting for something compelling, the coming weeks are crucial. Samantha, along with the teams of these upcoming films, has a big job ahead to energize the box office and turn this slow phase into a vibrant one.

Directed by Nandini reddy and created by Raj nidumoru, Ma inti bangaram will hit the big screens on May 15.
