Taylor Swift shared health updates for both of her parents, Andrea Swift and Scott Swift, revealing the results of her dad’s quintuple bypass surgery.

Taylor Swift’s dad treated the hospital like it was The Eras Tour after undergoing quintuple bypass surgery earlier this summer.

In her debut appearance on the “New Heights” podcast on Aug. 13, Taylor opened up about her personal life, sharing health updates for both of her parents, Andrea and Scott Swift.

“He actually had a quintuple bypass surgery, and that’s a really intense surgery. That happened really quick,” Swift, 35, said. “He is doing incredibly well.”

The surgery, which could take between four and six hours, “creates a new route, called a bypass, for blood and oxygen to go around a blockage to reach your heart,” according to the National Library of Medicine.

Scott Swift, 73, learned about the five blockages during a routine medical checkup. As Taylor explained it, her dad was told, “We’ve gotta do this tomorrow. We don’t know how you walked in here, dude. This is crazy.”

“He’s had a perfect (electrocardiogram) every year that he’s gone in for physicals. But what found his five hard blockages in his heart was a resting stress test,” she explained.

Also called a nuclear stress test, the imaging method “uses radioactive material to show how well blood flows into the heart muscle, both at rest and during activity,” according to the National Library of Medicine.

Taylor continued: “So he’s been telling all his friends, ‘You need to get the stress test,’ because that’s what’s actually preventative. If you can find that earlier, you don’t have to have a bypass surgery. You can sort out those blockages with stents and things that are a lot less invasive.”

Taylor then recalled how her father tried not to inconvenience his family with the procedure.

“You guys are busy; I don’t want you guys to have to come in here. You and (brother) Austin are busy,” she remembered him saying. She took on a mocking voice as she continued: “So I was like, ‘OK, I’m not going to come there, all right.'”

Scott Swift resumed his favorite Eras Tour activity while recovering from surgery

Unsurprisingly, Taylor didn’t listen to her dad.

When he woke up after the bypass surgery, he had a support group waiting for him: Andrea, Austin, Taylor, and his best friend. His family “took shifts” watching over him during his recovery in the intensive care unit.

Despite recovering from general anesthesia, Scott was ready to start whipping up jokes.

“I was like, ‘Dad, you had a quintuple bypass. You had five (blockages). That’s crazy. That’s more than we’d thought,'” Taylor said. “And he was like, ‘You see, I come from a very competitive family.”

Scott also showed he’s truly his daughter’s biggest fan when he started doing a callback to his favorite activity at her shows.

“He came out of surgery (and) tried to give guitar picks to all the nurses and doctors,” Taylor shared. “But he wasn’t wearing pants, didn’t have pockets. (He was wearing a) hospital gown.”

Andrea Swift has ‘a new knee’

For fans who’ve been wondering what she’s been up to post-Eras Tour, it’s been “granny” hobbies like sewing, making all sorts of sourdough flavors, and preparing her 12th album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”

But she’s also been spending quality time with her parents, who both underwent medical procedures.

Describing her new “parent-child (role) reversal,” Taylor revealed: “We all moved in with him for the whole summer, pretty much.”

“He was the loveliest patient ever,” she said of Scott. “My dad’s like, new arteries, new me.”

Also, her mom got “a new knee.”

“She’s doing great; she’s scampering around,” Taylor said before correcting herself. “We’re not quite at scampering, but she’s doing great.”

It’s been the “summer of upgrades,” she continued, adding: “We’re just upgrading the parents, making sure they live to be at least 186 years old because they’re two of my best friends. And I just adore them.”
