I’m not defending the Met at all but they’re in between a rock and a hard place because they’re told to police the Palestinian marches in the dumbest ways, especially with the Palestine Action stuff, for a long time now it feels like they do shit like this with routes to make it as discouraging as possible for them to protest.
As for the Tommy Robinson dickhead parade, I’ve been in Central London when one has taken place (family live there and I was visiting them lol) and the atmosphere at Euston alone was fucking intense with loads of police. Seeing all the flag shaggers wandering around shouting at people was seriously weird as fuck and not the London I know and love, but the fact they were all getting trains from Euston shows they know nothing about the city.
The Met sadly have to give that march more attention because it **will** kick off and there will probably be enough cocaine there to make Rick James blush. It’ll be full of drunk men aged between 18 and 80 wearing England flags and Union Jacks as capes while urinating in public and drinking copious amounts of cheap lager.
