I can’t believe Harrison Ford’s depression manifests in the exact same way as mine. Huge W for miserable domino’s patron 24 y/o selena_gnomez1

**Great that he is sharing this. Even legends like Harrison Ford struggle, shows how human we all are.**

  3. Anyone who has ever felt psychological issues would immediately relate with him. It isn’t as simple as “you’re just being lazy”. No I am NOT! I don’t want to be, that’s the entire problem in hand god damnit!

Throw the wrappers in the corner is frying me. It’s like the slices came individually wrapped

  5. The oddest thing about depression is that it can sound like a vacation day where you get to decompress and stay in bed, but somehow your brain hates you so much that even napping and pizza isn’t fully enjoyable.

I really appreciate when anyone shares their mental health struggles. It makes me feel not as alone.

  7. It’s good that things like this become more talked about because it still feels like it’s shameful for people.

Sometimes when I read and relate to things like this I wonder if I should seeks specialists diagnosis, but I’m from a culture where I kind of think ‘am I just lazy’.

I would have been depressed if I went to Ripon, too. He should have went to SNC, instead.

Wait, that’s depression? Is that not just what people do when they live alone?

Welp, I’ve always known he was at the same college in Wisconsin at the same time as my parents but I had no idea how wildly different their experiences there were. My parents loved every second of college and have a huge friend group that is spread out across the country that they still see regularly. Sad and kinda disorienting to hear that one of my favorite all time actors struggled in the same place and time that my parents flourished.

Man, I was depressed like that too at that age. I was always in bed. I remember that if I had plans with a friend at like 4 pm that was something I needed to really make an effort to get up “early” for and would sometimes miss it.

  12. I appreciate that he mentioned it in terms of and illness, being ill. Hopefully, that reminds some people and helps others realize that it’s not a personal failure, you are sick and need medical attention (or other sources of very specialized help).

  13. Not surprised, we always thought he was just “cranky old man”… that was in 1993! So glad he dated Calista, I love how slowly hes come out of his shell.

  14. Can relate and although time has passed and I’m doing much better now but If the thought about it comes then I feel guilty that I wasted one of the best phases of my life

It’s always surprising to hear how many people, even someone like Harrison Ford, struggled like this. Depression really doesn’t discriminate.

  16. At least he was eating. I’ve known people who just stop eating and it is not good.
