I’m gonna say an unpopular opinion. It seems like every so often American picks an old white woman and idolizes her for no reason. Off the top of my head it was Betty White and now it’s Dolly Parton. Something about it icks me out.

She has the Carnegie medal for philanthropy and I haven’t even gone into all the support she’s also given to black and LGBT communities.
